Federico Violante
Co-founder & CTO · Great Shift

Federico began his nomadic journey in 2019, leaving behind his software development career to pursue roles he never imagined possible. From co-founding a startup in the nomad industry to becoming a breathwork facilitator, his journey has made him more open, aligned, and enthusiastic about life’s endless opportunities. The rise of AI brought him back to his first love: creating products that have an impact on people’s lives, now with a greater leverage and speed.

Chi è
From remote worker to digital nomad and cofounder, Federico’s journey has been shaped by the people he met during his travels and months abroad. An engineer by education but an extrovert at heart, the nomadic lifestyle showed him he could embrace both his hands-on, nerdy tech side and his people-loving, sunny-side-up energy.
In 2025, by joining Great-Shift.com as CTO, he continues pushing the adoption of remote, async, and modern work practices for anyone who wants to step into the future of work-life balance. The first ItaliaNomadFest.com in Palermo, Sicily, which he organized in March 2026, was just the latest larger-than-life endeavor he has taken on, bringing together everything he cares about: nomads, locals and Italian culture.
In his spare time, you’ll find him catching waves on a kiteboard or guiding restorative breathwork sessions (two more gifts of the nomadic lifestyle).
